A Job, Really?

Yesterday, I actually found what seems to be a good local position to apply for of which I am qualified. I’m not saying its ideal but it does have potential. Of course I don’t know what it pays or what benefits are included. I made sure my resume was in order, drafted a cover letter, and sent it along the way. I try not to get too excited.

There have been many jobs to which I’ve applied that actually had no funding. They are simply posted and not filled, as if the organization is hoping and preparing, should government funds come available, they will be ready to move forward. So, the organizations put forth their best effort, as do I, yet again, and we wait.

The sign of the recovery I am looking for comes in the words, “Your hired.”

Thanks Lisa, I just keep thinking, maybe this job will be real. I’ll get my hair and nails done and start planning for spring time interviews. Perhaps there will be a job this year.
